Each summer, teens can volunteer at the library as part of our Teen Corps. Volunteers help with a variety of programs and tasks at the library, ranging from crafts, games, ticket taking for performances, sorting and shelving library materials, data entry, computer tutoring.
Who is eligible?
Students entering seventh grade through students beginning college in the Fall are eligible to apply.
When can I sign up?
Beginning April 15, applications are available at the Information Desk. Completed applications are due by May 15. Acceptance into the program and schedule confirmation will be within the first week of June. A June date for the mandatory orientation will be noted on the application.
The Library depends on its Teen Corps volunteers to help the summer programs and operations run smoothly. Volunteers are instructed and assigned to specific tasks appropriate to their age and skill levels. If you would like to give back to your library community this summer, please pick up an application this April. Hours may qualify for community service hours.
