Policy on Public Relations
The Library takes an active role in promoting its materials and services throughout the community via print and non-print forms of communication; endeavoring to inform all citizens about the various ways the Library can enhance their activities; and encouraging their continued support of the Library and its mission. The Library works to establish a professional reputation as a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, non-biased place for the sharing and exchange of ideas. The Library strives to increase awareness of Library materials and services among non-users.
The Library cooperates as fully as possible with other community agencies and organizations in meeting the needs of the community, in so far as such cooperation is compatible with the Library's mission, legal and fiscal considerations, and opportunity for staff involvement.
